Biography

John Tesh worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Tesh worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Entertainment Tonight," "Extreme Winter" (1991), "Limit Up" (1989) starring Nancy Allen, "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" (NBC, 1987-88), "Shocker" (1989) and "The U.S. Open Tennis Championship" (CBS, 1985-86). In the nineties, Tesh devoted his time to various credits, such as "He Said, She Said" with Elizabeth Perkins (1991), "Soapdish" (1991) starring Sally Field and "Love Affair" (1994). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "The Naked Truth" (1995-98). Additionally, he appeared in a number of television specials, including "The 1996 Summer Olympics" (1995-96), "Marvin Hamlisch & the Pittsburgh Pops" (1996-97) and "John Tesh: The Avalon Concert" (1996-97). Tesh most recently provided music for the children's sequel "The Smurfs 2" (2013) with Neil Patrick Harris.
