Samuel L. Jackson and Josh Hartnett have signed up to co-star in boxing drama Resurrecting the Champ.
Hartnett will play a young reporter who meets a homeless man claiming to be former boxing great Bob Satterfield.
Bob “Bombardier” Satterfield fought professionally from 1945 until 1957, and was named one of Ring Magazine‘s 100 greatest punchers of all time.

The film will be directed by Commander in Chief creator Rod Lurie and is based on a series of articles written by Los Angeles Times reporter J.R. Moehringer.
Filming will start on June 19 in Calgary, Canada.
