Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith pick up marriage license – report

Joshua Jackson and his girlfriend Jodie Turner-Smith appear to be planning to tie the knot, after they were reportedly seen picking up a marriage license in a Beverly Hills courthouse on Friday (02Aug19).
The 40-year-old Dawson’s Creek actor was pictured beaming from ear to ear as he wrapped his arms round the stunning British actress, who held tightly onto a brown envelope – presumably containing the license. The pair were also joined by Joshua’s mother Fiona for the outing.
In the United States, such licenses are valid for 90 days, meaning Joshua and Jodie could be exchanging vows very soon. A representative for Joshua has yet to comment on the rumours.
Joshua and the Queen and Slim actress first went public with their romance last October (18) while attending singer Usher’s 40th birthday party.
While the former star of The Affair was photographed passionately locking lips with a mystery female in a parking lot at Los Angeles International Airport in mid-June (19), he and Jodie soon reunited, and were seen with their arms around one another during a grocery run later that month. Joshua also set the record straight by commenting on one of Jodie’s Instagram posts: “Wherever whenever. I’ll go there too.”
If reports are correct, this will be the first marriage for both Jodie and Joshua, who previously had a 10-year relationship with Diane Kruger, which ended in 2016.
In an interview with Glamour magazine during their romance, Joshua explained why he had no intention of marrying the National Treasure star.
“I can tell you why we’re not married: We’re not religious. I don’t feel any more or less committed to Diane for not having stood in front of a priest and had a giant party,” he said in 2014. “We’re both children of divorce, so it’s hard for me to take marriage at face value as the thing that shows you’ve grown up and are committed to another person. But it may change at some point.”
