“He was after me since I was 18 … he totally wasn’t my type … I thought he was gay. After a few years, he was persistent … so I went out with him on a date and I realized how much I liked him.”
What she means: Just what she says — she thought he was gay! I don’t know whether or not it was his cameo in Knocked Up, the makeout sesh with Teri Hatcher on the beach, or his constantly suggestive exchanges with Simon Cowell that tipped her off, but whatever it was, he seems to have convinced her of his heterosexuality. I wonder how he did it? I guess it doesn’t matter. Now that we know we weren’t the only ones who questioned the direction of Seacrest’s crest, we’re left to wonder what Cher is going to do for the rest of her life, since Hough is Gaydar’s new Queen. Whatever island Cher is exiled to, we just hope karma is nice enough to fill it with dancing queens. That’s the only way her descent will be comfortable.
