Justin Bieber is even more over the MTV VMAs than Blue Ivy. Though the singer was nominated for his videos “Sorry” and “Purpose: The Movement,” he didn’t attend the event. Maybe Biebs already knew he wasn’t going home with a moon man, so instead of flying all the way to NYC, the singer celebrated his loss by drinking alone at a strip mall dive bar.
According to a source who spoke to Perez Hilton, the singer showed up at the bar alone, slung back a few whiskeys and sang some karaoke.
“He came in to the bar around 10 p.m. with a security guard who gave him plenty of space and waited by the door. Justin knows the owner really well so came in and drank for free, he was knocking back Jack Daniels neat and seemed really relaxed. After a few drinks he seemed to be in a really good mood and a few people were doing karaoke. The host said, ‘Justin’s going to sing for us tonight’.”
It’s definitely weird that he was drinking alone. Why didn’t you call us, Biebs? We’d have come and hung out!
The weirdest part about this whole thing isn’t the fact that Justin was drinking alone at a bar instead of attending a high-profile televised event (the dude is famous enough that maybe he’s just tired of going to things). The weird thing is that Bieber, apparently, isn’t very good at karaoke even though he makes a living singing in stadiums.
“He didn’t do much talking but everyone loved the singing. His voice cracked a few times and it wasn’t the best rendition I’ve heard on karaoke nights but Justin definitely enjoyed himself. Nobody bothered him, everyone thought it was pretty cool. A few people took videos and asked for pictures after but he just told them he’d rather talk to them than pose for a selfie. He left after an hour and the place was buzzing. Justin loves the bar because it’s really local to his new place,” said the anonymous source.
