Kaitlyn Dever began acting at the tender age of four. Dever's early acting career was founded on her roles in various dramas, such as "Private Practice" (ABC, 2007-2013) and "Make It or Break It" (ABC Family, 2008-2012). She also appeared in the TV movie "An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong" (HBO, 2008-09). She continued to work steadily in television throughout the early 2000s and the 2010s, appearing on "The Mentalist" (2008-2015), "Justified" (FX, 2009-2015) and "Modern Family" (ABC, 2009-). Her work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Cinema Verite" (HBO, 2010). Additionally, she later acted in the Cameron Diaz hit comedy "Bad Teacher" (2011). Dever focused on film in more recent years, appearing in the Leonardo DiCaprio dramatic biopic "J. Edgar" (2011), the Brie Larson dramatic adaptation "Short Term 12" (2013) and the Miles Teller dramatic adaptation "The Spectacular Now" (2013). She also appeared in "Laggies" (2014) with Keira Knightley. She also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Last Man Standing" (ABC, 2011-). Dever most recently acted in the dramatic adaptation "Men, Women & Children" (2014) with Rosemarie DeWitt.
