Kanye West was recently released from the hospital after suffering a mental breakdown and being put on a 5150 hold. While the rapper is healing (and his doting wife Kim Kardashian is nursing him back to health) Kanye has cancelled all future tour dates and put his career on hold.
Originally, West canceled all concerts through the end of 2016. He was hoping to get back on the road in early 2017 and continue with his Saint Pablo tour in Europe. After his release from the hospital, the rapper has decided to go on an indefinite hiatus.
According to TMZ, Kanye is still in a fragile state and “needs medical and psychological help to become healthy again.” There’s no way to tell when the rapper will be recovered and ready to hit the stage, but we do know performing and being away from Kim was a huge stress on him.
While it is possible for Kanye to bounce back before the new year, it’s way too early to tell. Thankfully, he’s got a killer insurance policy that covers his profits if he cancels. Let’s just hope he’s taking it slow and feels better soon.
