Kim Kardashian isn’t the only one who was traumatized from her horrific robbery in Paris. Apparently Kanye West hasn’t been the same since it happened, and it may have been a tipping point for the 39-year-old rapper.

As you already know, last week Kanye cancelled the rest of his Saint Pablo tour and was hospitalized in a 5150 psychiatric hold. Kim Kardashian has been an excellent support to her man and has been sleeping at his side in the hospital and even feeding him amidst rumors that problems in their marriage are what caused his breakdown.

According to an insider who spoke to Us Weeklyit’s not problems in West’s marriage that were the tipping point — it was the traumatic robbery.

“He’s been shaken up ever since the robbery in Paris. It did a number on him as much as Kim. The mere thought that anything could happen to her sent him in a tailspin. He wasn’t sleeping and he was having nightmares about it,” said the source.

Being apart from Kimmy after such a traumatic event was too much for the rapper to bear. Despite how much he tried to push on, he had to cancel the tour.

“He really couldn’t do his shows without her around. That’s what made him worse. He didn’t want to be away from her … [The robbery] was just as hard for him, but he tried to keep going. He would never have canceled the tour unless things were bad,” the source added.

Since the loss of his mother, West doesn’t have much family. Apparently, the Kardashians are all he’s got and the thought of losing Kim set him off.

“The robbery triggered everything. Kim is his family and the only family he really has now. They took him in and embraced him. So seeing Kim traumatized did a major number on him,” said the source.

Poor Kanye. Hopefully, he will be released from the hospital today and can have a quick recovery in the comfort of his own home.
