Karlie Kloss ‘tried’ to convince Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner to accept U.S. election results

Karlie Kloss has “tried” to convince Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner to accept the result of the U.S. election.

The model – who is married to Joshua Kushner – criticized Donald Trump and his team for refusing to accept the outcome of November’s (2020) election, after armed supporters of the president stormed the Capitol building in Washington on Wednesday (January 6, 2021).

“Accepting the results of a legitimate democratic election is patriotic. Refusing to do so and inciting violence is anti-American,” Karlie tweeted.

Following Karlie’s post, one Twitter user suggested she should direct her comments towards Ivanka, Trump’s daughter, and her husband Jared, both of whom are advisers to the billionaire businessman.

“Tell your sister in law and brother law (sic),” they penned, with Karlie responding: “I’ve tried.”

After coming under fire for his handling of the situation, Trump finally issued statement on Thursday (January 7, 2021) insisting “there will be an orderly transition on January 20,” as he finally accepted his defeat by incumbent POTUS Joe Biden.

“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20,” Trump stated.

“I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again.”
