Kathy Griffin weds in New Year’s Day ceremony

Kathy Griffin kicked off the New Year in style as she married her longterm partner Randy Bick – just hours after announcing the pair were engaged.

The comedian, 59, took to social media just before midnight on New Year’s Eve (December 31, 2019) to announce her engagement, sharing a sweet clip of the couple as they gushed over their impending nuptials and told fans the ceremony would take place “after midnight”.

Returning to the platform just six hours later, the Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List star shared a short video of the opening of the intimate ceremony – which was officiated by Grace and Frankie star Lily Tomlin and took place at Griffin’s home in Hollywood, California in the early hours of 1 January (2020).

In the clip, the star positioned herself and Bick before Tomlin as she prepared to begin the proceedings but repeatedly interrupted the actress as she spoke with writer and director Jane Wagner, who was a guest at the couple’s union.

“The entire ceremony was just under 14 minutes but I have to give you guys the uncut first 75 seconds. LOVE IT! We promised you atypical,” she penned. “We are in love and we cannot stop laughing. Thank you @LilyTomlin and Jane Wagner! #HappyNewYear.”

Griffin and Bick, 41, have been dating since 2011. She was previously married to Matt Moline from 2001 to 2006.
