Keane held up at festival over identity issues

Keane almost had to abandon their set at the Isle of Wight Festival over the weekend after security guards failed to recognise the bandmates – and refused to let their tour bus park up.
Tom Chaplin, Tim Rice-Oxley, Richard Hughes and Jesse Quin had to convince the clueless official they were headlining the Big Top stage at the festival upon their arrival, leading to a comedic stand-off.
Drummer Hughes tells Absolute Radio, “We were just trying to get into the site and one of the security guys wouldn’t let us in. The thing is… things like that just get funnier and funnier the more they happen.
“Then, the longer it goes on, the guy is just standing there and we’re just sitting in this bus and it just got funnier as the situation got more absurd.”
Eventually the band was cleared for access and the security guard apologised for holding the musicians up.
