Keely Smith brought her musical talents to a variety of films over the course of her Hollywood career. Smith began her acting career in film, appearing in such titles as the Robert Mitchum crime feature "Thunder Road" (1958) and the Howard Miller musical "Senior Prom" (1959). She appeared in a number of television specials, including "Jack Paar Presents" (NBC, 1959-1960) and "The Jack Paar Special" (NBC, 1959-1960). Smith also contributed music to the Louis Prima musical "Hey Boy! Hey Girl!" (1959). In the eighties and the early 2000s, Smith's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like the Robert De Niro biographical drama "Raging Bull" (1980), the drama "Mad Dog and Glory" (1993) with Robert De Niro and the comedy "Blast From the Past" (1999) with Brendan Fraser. Her work was also in "The Out-Of-Towners" (1999). Smith's music was also featured in the dramatic period piece "Deuces Wild" (2002) with Fairuza Balk, "Take the Lead" (2006) and "We Own the Night" (2007) with Joaquin Phoenix. Smith's music was most recently featured in the drama "Love Ranch" (2010) with Helen Mirren. In addition to her music, Smith also appeared on-screen in "Mr. Warmth: The Don Rickles Project" (HBO, 2007-08).
