The Village People’s Victor Willis to reunite the group with new members

The Village People’s Victor Willis is planning to “reboot the group” with “new characters.”
The band has been embroiled in legal issues over royalties for several years, but they have now been settled and Willis is looking to move forward with getting the group back together.
“There was nothing I could do about it until this legal stuff was straightened out,” he tells the BBC. “And this just happened to be at the 40-year anniversary of Village People. Everything seemed to fall into place where I could say, ‘OK, it’s time for me to take over the group again.”
“Not a reunion, but to reboot the group,” he adds. “To have to get new characters. Then I have to get a band like when Jacques (Morali, music producer) and I first sat down and decided we’re going to create this Village People thing.”
