Kim Basinger to Go to Trial in January

Kim Basinger will stand trial in January 2007 charged with disregarding court orders over her ex-husband Alec Baldwin‘s visitation rights with their daughter.

The Oscar-winning actress, 48, and Baldwin, 52, agreed to share custody of 10-year-old Ireland in 2004–four years after their divorce.

Baldwin accuses his ex-wife of blocking his visitation rights and failing to notify him when Ireland was injured and needed medical treatment in 2005.

Basinger pleaded innocent through her attorney Neil Hersh as she was arraigned in Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday.

If convicted, the L.A. Confidential beauty could spend up to two months in jail and receive a $12,000 fine.

Court Commissioner Maren E. Nelson has set a tentative trial start date for Jan. 15. Baldwin‘s lawyer Vicki Greene says her client intends to be one of the witnesses in the trial.
