Since Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humphries on October 31st, she’s made numerous attempts to explain to the media why she wanted to end her marriage. Shortly after the legal papers were filed in Los Angeles she was interviewed by an Australian radio station, wrote an extensive post on her blog, and most recently revealed to Glamour all the ways in which the separation has affected her. Kris, on the other hand, hasn’t commented very much on the matter, and instead opted to come to grips with what was happening to his relationship in private. But yesterday, he figured he’d been silent for long enough and revealed that he just filed papers to annul the marriage entirely (meaning remove from his record that he was ever married) because Kim “defrauded” him into marrying her.
TMZ claims Kris’s friends told them Kim only wanted to get married to boost ratings for the many shows she’s involved in, but never told Kris about it. Instead, Kris maintains he entered into the marriage believing it was genuine, and is now asking for the court to have Kim pay for his attorney’s fees because of how she misled him. Kris himself is quoted as telling the website, “I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and couldn’t get off when now I know I probably should have. I got caught up in the hoopla and the filming of the TV show,” and that he “felt like a pawn in the game.”
Kris was bound to speak out sooner or later, but it’s strange he doesn’t address what, exactly, made him think his marriage to Kim Kardashian would be real and full of long-lasting love. Was it Kim’s several TV shows that Ryan Seacrest writes every word of? Or the fact she likes that her sex tape with Ray J boosted her career? Or that she wants to die when there’s toothpaste splatter on the mirror above the sink in the bathroom? Or that she insisted he kept his dogs in their kennels when they were at her house? Or that they couldn’t agree where they would live once they were married? Or how about that she got married when she was 19 and never told him about it? Uch, if only he had just ONE sign!
