Kris Humphries: Now a Brooklyn Baller with $24 Million in His Pocket

Kris Humphries may be nearing freedom from his marriage to Kim Kardashian, but gone are his days as a free agent. It was announced Tuesday that Humphries has signed with the brand spanking new Brooklyn Nets for the upcoming basketball season. While the official terms of the agreement have not been released, New York Daily News is reporting that it’s a two-year deal worth $24 million. Looks like Humphries is going to do just fine without Kardashian paying his bills.

Humphries first joined the Nets (formerly of New Jersey) during the 2009-2010 season and, despite his roller coaster personal life, has proved to be a reliable forward for the team. In a press release, the Brooklyn Nets’ General Manager Billy King says of Humphries, “Kris has been a very consistent player for us over the past two years. He has developed into one of the top rebounding forwards in the league, and we are very pleased to welcome him back.”

A shiny new contract sounds like the perfect opportunity for Humphries to hunker down, get his head in the game, and maybe stick to being a baller on the court for a bit.
