Lady Gaga Announces New Single With Dramatic Instagram Puzzle

Lady Gaga’s been a busy girl — she’s been working on a new season of American Horror Story and was recently cast in Bradley Cooper’s remake A Star Is Born. It seems like the singer doesn’t have much free time for music these days.

It’s been three years since the singer released her last album ARTPOP, and fans have been worried she might never return to her craft. Though the singer has admitted that she was truly unhappy in the music industry before her foray into acting, it looks like she just can’t quit the beast. Gaga has announced a brand new single in not just one, but 12 whole Instagram posts

When pieced together, the Instagram posts read “Lady Gaga Perfect Illusion New Single September Perfect Illusion.”

After 2013’s ARTPOP, the singer was in quite the transitional period. She fired her manager Troy Carter over “creative differences” and brought in Live Nation’s Bobby Campbell. Campbell’s vision for Gaga included her more toned down look and brief detour into Jazz music. We’re hoping this means Gaga is going back to basics with her new work.

Among the producers on Gaga’s new album are Mark Ronson, Nile Rodgers, RedOne, and Diane Warren who helped her write her Oscar-nominated track Til It Happens To You.” RedOne is one of Gaga’s frequent collaborators and helped her pen the hits “Just Dance,” “Bad Romance,” “Judas,” and “Poker Face.” BloodPop (formely known as Blood Diamonds), who helped write Justin Bieber’s massive hit “Sorry,” and Kevin Parker have also worked on a track with the singer.

Gaga really needs a win when it comes to her new album. Her 2011 record Born This Way was a massive chart success pulling in 1,108,000 in first week sales. Compared to Born This Way, ARTPOP was a massive failure. It pulled in a measly 258,000 sales in the first week, but it should be noted that it still hit number one in the charts.

Regardless of how many records Mother Monster sells, we’re beyond excited for her new album. The new record, which is the singer’s fifth studio album, is set to drop later this year.
