Biography

Lafe McKee was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. McKee's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as "The Human Tornado" (1925), "The Fire Fighters" (1927) and "The Upland Rider" (1928). He also appeared in "Under Montana Skies" (1930) with Kenneth Harlan, "Code of Honor" (1930) and the Bob Steele western "Near the Rainbow's End" (1930). His film career continued throughout the thirties in productions like the Harry Carey western "Without Honors" (1932), the John Wayne western "Riders of Destiny" (1933) and the Tom Mix western "Terror Trail" (1933). He also appeared in "Young Blood" (1933) with Bob Steele. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Port of Lost Dreams" (1935), the western "The Ivory-Handled Gun" (1935) with Buck Jones and the western "The Silver Bullet" (1935) with Tom Tyler. He also appeared in "Law of the 45's" (1935). McKee last acted in the comedy "Inside the Law" (1942) with Wallace Ford. McKee passed away in August 1959 at the age of 87.
