Following a series of TV guest parts, she tackled a more dramatic part in "Flight 93," the fact-based 2006 film about one of the planes taken over during the 9/11 terror attacks. In 2009, Mennell landed one of her highest-profile roles when she played Jenny Slater in "Watchmen," based on the popular graphic novel. In 2011, she got her first major television series role, co-starring on the cable science fiction drama "Alphas."
