Lee Ryan back drinking after alcohol battle

Blue star Lee Ryan is back drinking again after quitting alcohol last year (18).
The All Rise hitmaker, 36, gave up boozing while training for U.K. TV show Strictly Come Dancing last year, following a decade-long drinking problem. But speaking with Britain’s The Sun newspaper, the star confessed he still hits the bottle occasionally.
“I still struggle now and again,” he shared. “I struggle in my own way that I don’t use drink to forget and that was the point.”
Insisting his days of downing a bottle of whisky a night are behind him, the boyband star added: “If anything, now I have a couple of beers to relax and be social but there was points where I wouldn’t drink socially, I would drink inwardly and the bottle was my friend.”
Lee admitted that although he has been an alcoholic, he’s never succumbed to drugs.
“I’ve never been a big drug person, and I’m quite happy about that,” he continued. “I’m so happy that I was never mad on drugs. I dabbled in my time but drink was definitely the thing that f**ked me.
“I was a good alcoholic for a good ten years.”
