LeToya Luckett engaged

Former Destiny’S Child star Letoya Luckett is engaged a year after reportedly getting divorced.
The singer has taken to Instagram to announce she is set to wed entrepreneur Tommicus Walker.
“I said, “Yes yeeeesssss” on his Burfday (sic)!!” she writes alongside a picture of herself showing off the engagement ring.
Luckett’s brother, Gavin, also shared a video of the proposal on the social media site.
“That one time @letoyaluckett planned a surprise Bday dinner for @iamtwalk2 but he had a bigger surprise for her,” he wrote. “Congrats y’all!!!”
It is unclear how long LeToya and Tommicus have been dating, but the engagement comes a year after the singer divorced motivational speaker and author Rob Hill, Sr. in August, 2016. The couple reportedly tied the knot in January, 2016, but split two months later, but Rob maintains the pair never made it down the aisle.
Asked if he was still planning to make their vows official last summer (16), he said, “At this point, no” before explaining they had a “beautiful relationship” but weren’t together because their work was keeping them apart.
“We’re not getting married at this point because we understand each other as friends – the right way,” he told U.S. radio show The Fam in the Morning. “There’s certain things she needs to do over there for herself and there’s certain things I need to do over here. We realise that we can’t do those together right now.”
In May (17), LeToya offered up her thoughts on the failed relationship.
“Anytime you open up and allow yourself to love and love hard, that’s the risk you take of it possibly not working out,” she shared with The Breakfast Club. “And although we really did love and care for each other, it just didn’t turn out the way we wanted it to.”
