Levi Johnston Runs For Mayor For Reality Show

levi johnstonYou guys, Levi Johnston is working harder than all of us. While we’re sitting at our desks from 9 AM to 10 AM googling French movie posters and the cheapest way to get ourselves to Lollapalooza, Levi has already been bench pressed by his body guard, visited his son without taking time to hug him or feed him, insulted Sarah Palin seven times, and contemplated the pros and cons of being contracted to have phone sex with Kathy Griffin every night. Oh, he’s also captured a white elephant and has spoken to reality show producers four times about the next few steps in his quest to be mayor of Wasilla.

Truth! Johnston has partnered with reality pros Stone and Co., and they’re signed on to film Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor’s Office. But don’t be deceived by the title: in addition to loving him and watching him build a platform to convince the lovely 10,256 people of Wasilla (that number is from 2008 — hopefully it’s grown since then) that he’s qualified to use their tax monies for governmental things ONLY (but that excludes pistachio nut commercials. He’s committed to that already), we’ll also watch him be a father to his son with ex-girlfriend Bristol’s baby, Tripp, and Levi’s efforts to get a spot in the muddy pigpen that is Hollywood.

One astute reality show producer that will be getting a nice bottle of Pinot Noir on me, said “I can’t imagine that he has enough celebrity on his own that people will tune it in. With a real celebrity, you can put them on TV doing boring stuff and it’s interesting. But when it’s not really a celebrity, they have to be doing something interesting. Maybe running for mayor is funny enough, and he could probably win because he has the name recognition. And then he’ll be mayor of Wasilla. The world keeps getting weirder and weirder.”

“Weirder and weirder?” More like better and better, like taking a peanut butter sandwich made of regular peanut butter and slabbing on some of the chunky stuff!

And Levi totally has the right attitude. “It’s something that I want to do…” he said. “I lead a crazy life. But [the show] will basically be both worlds, my life in Hollywood and back home, the real country boy that I am.” Paradoxes! Not just for high school photography projects anymore!
