Liam Payne has insisted he and his new girlfriend Maya Henry have “nothing to hide”, as he opened up about their relationship.
Reports had suggested the former One Direction singer, 26, and the 19-year-old model were an item, after the pair were spotted together on several occasions in recent weeks. And speaking on Britain’s Capital FM’s breakfast show, the Strip That Down star spoke publicly about the relationship, after insiders previously told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper he was trying to keep the relationship quiet “out of respect for (his ex) Cheryl”.
“I’m just past the point where I’m bothered about whether or not… it’s not worth my happiness,” the star shared on Wednesday (September 18, 2019). “I’d rather just go out and do what I want. I don’t really care any more. I’ve got nothing to hide so it’s fine.”
When pressed about his new beau, Liam remained coy, adding he’s “very happy at the moment”.
Liam maintains a positive relationship with the Call My Name hitmaker, and the former couple share a son, two-year-old Bear.
He and Maya were first linked last summer – shortly after his split from Cheryl. Liam had previously been linked with models Duckie Thot, 23, and Naomi Campbell, 49.
