Liam Payne predicts One Direction will reunite in two years’ time

Liam Payne has predicted that One Direction will reunite in two years’ time.

Along with bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson, the 26-year-old singer has been enjoying solo success since the boyband went on hiatus in January 2016. And reflecting on the four-piece teaming up once again in the future, Liam said a reunion logically won’t happen until at least two years’ time.

“I think at some point we will get back together. I think we will, for sure,” he said during an appearance on U.K. TV show Sunday Brunch on Sunday (December 8, 2019). “I don’t know when that is yet but, all I know is there is at least two years while everyone’s just released new music where you have to go and promo and do all of that.

“There are at least two years.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Liam admitted that he saw Harry Styles for the “first time in three years” at Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball in London on Saturday.

“We hadn’t seen each other in a long, long time. It was really nice, he’s still the same boy as when I left him, really sweet… he’s such a lovely lad,” he smiled.

Liam previously suggested he doesn’t think former member Zayn Malik would rejoin the group for a reunion of the original line-up, after he left a year prior to the Kiss You group’s official split.
