Linda Hopkins worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. She appeared in a number of television specials, including "Mitzi... Roarin' in the '20s" (1975-76) and "Living the Dream: A Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King" (1987-88). She additionally was featured in the miniseries "King" (1977-78) and "Roots: The Next Generations" (1978-79). She also landed roles in movies like "The Education of Sonny Carson" (1974) with Rony Clanton, the Clint Eastwood action picture "Honkytonk Man" (1982) and the dramatic adaptation "Go Tell It on the Mountain" (1984) with Paul Winfield. A regular on the awards show circuit, she made an appearance on "The 43rd Annual Tony Awards" (1988-89). She appeared in a number of television specials, including "Noel: Best Wishes For a Merry Christmas" (1988-89), "Abbey Lincoln, You Gotta Pay the Band" (1992-93) and "Black and Blue" (1992-93). She also appeared in "Wolf Trap Presents a Gift of Music" (1993-94). She held additional roles in television including a part on "Something Wilder" (1994-95).
