Lindsay Lohan Offered Sharon Tate Role in Manson Movie

lindsay lohanThe last movie role that was offered to Lindsay Lohan was the role of Linda Lovelace. But once she violated the terms of her probation and checked into the Betty Ford clinic, her ties to the production were severed. But it seems that another movie role has found its way into her clutches, and it’s a part in a movie called Eyes of a Dreamer, as actress Sharon Tate. Photographer Tyler Shields is behind the project, and he told EW that the film would be about Charles Manson (who murdered Tate when she was pregnant and married to Roman Polanski). Sheilds also revealed his intention to give Lindsay the role comes from the bond they’ve formed after working on a series of shoots together, and from his belief that audiences won’t have any trouble seeing Lindsay as a troubled figure since she’s had her own issues: “Sharon Tate was a movie star. So I want [an actress who] you already have a backstory with. People have a backstory with someone like Lindsay. I think it’s very relatable,” he said. But the photographer/director says Lindsay won’t be the only reason to go see the movie, and expressed a desire to “go all the way” in depicting the Tate murder. On the task of broaching the subject graphically without resulting in the movie only appealing to a small demographic, he said “I’m just going to be directing people do to the craziest shit they’ve ever done. But I’m going to find a way to do it where it doesn’t turn people off, but it gives the you the feeling of it. I want this to really hit people in a really specific place.”

But there’s a chance this movie might never happen. Sheilds stated he would like to start shooting on July 15th, but acknowledged that date might conflict with whatever sentence Lohan might receive if she is convicted of grand theft when she goes to trial for stealing a $2,500 necklace from a jewelry store in Venice, California. So you see Lindsay? Trial never just sucks for the jury.
