Lindsay Lohan Won’t Be Charged with Battery

lindsay lohanYesterday, Lindsay Lohan finally got evidence that the justice system would rather not have to deal with her when prosecutors in Riverside County, California announced that they did not intend to charge her with battery for getting into a scuffle with a Betty Ford employee in December. John Hall, a spokesman for the District Attorney’s office, told Reuters that investigators did not provide them with enough evidence to prove that Lindsay had done anything wrong. Hall also said, “our standard is that if we file charges, we believe that we can produce enough evidence to convict someone beyond a reasonable doubt and that was not the case here.” That’s probably because the Betty Ford employee, Dawn Holland, refused to press charges and make Lindsay’s road to recovery any more difficult, but also because generally speaking, throwing a tantrum in rehab is still very much legal.
