Malcolm Young buys new Sydney home

Former Ac/Dc star Malcolm Young is refusing to let his health problems mess with his quality of life after purchasing a new waterfront home in Sydney, Australia. The rocker, who quit the band last year (14) after revealing he had been diagnosed with dementia, has snapped up the Palm Beach mansion for around AUS$10 million ($7.8 million/£4.9 million), according to the Sydney Daily Telegraph.
The news comes as his brother Angus and ex-bandmates put the finishing touches to their upcoming Rock or Bust tour. Malcolm Young’s position in the band will be filled by his nephew Stevie, while longtime drummer Phil Rudd, whose legal troubles created a vacancy in the group, has been replaced by Chris Slade.
