Biography

Five TV series regular roles in a single decade: that's animpressive accomplishment for Marisol Nichols. She kicked things off with Showtime's 2000-2002 Hispanic ensemble drama, "Resurrection Boulevard." Though it ran for only a couple of years, it has since achieved a cult following on DVD. Next came "Blind Justice," a 2005 Steven Bochco cop drama that cast Nichols as the detective co-lead alongside Ron Eldard. Unfortunately, the ABC show quickly went nowhere. A year later, she was on another sound-alike ABC crime series, "In Justice," but it too was quickly canceled. Much more successful was the actress's run on the long-running Fox hit drama "24" as CIA counter-intelligence agent Nadia Yassir. Her character was introduced in 2007, during the sixth season. In 2010, Nichols scored another major role on yet another ABC drama, "The Gates." She played Sara Monohan, the wife of a police chief (Frank Grillo) whose new assignment brings him into the strange world of a gated residential community full of vampires and additional other-worldly creatures. But once again, the show was pulled after just one season.
