Martin Scorsese agrees to make Wall Street cuts to secure R rating

Moviemaker Martin Scorsese has reportedly cut some sex scenes from his new Leonardo DiCaprio movie The Wolf Of Wall Street in order to secure an ‘R’ rating in America. The director’s hard-hitting new film was threatened with a dreaded NC-17 rating if Scorsese refused to edit his film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
An NC-17 rating bars anyone under 17 from seeing the film in cinemas.
Rather than challenge the ruling, Scorsese and executives at Paramount met with ratings board officials and agreed to make the necessary cuts.
In the film, DiCaprio portrays a fast-living Wall Street stock whizz kid, whose questionable methods of getting rich land him behind bars.
