Members of rock bands including Mastodon and Tool have teamed up to form a nautical-themed supergroup called Legend of the Seagullmen. Mastodon singer and guitarist Brent Hinds has teamed up with Tool drummer Danny Carey and Burning Brides frontman Dimitri Coats to create sea shanties under the new band name.
Jonah Hex director Jimmy Howard will serve as producer on their recordings, which include two new tracks made available for free on the new group’s website.
