Biography

Michael Burns became an actor when he was just ten years old. Burns began his acting career with roles in such films as the adventure "The Wizard of Baghdad" (1960) with Dick Shawn, "Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation" (1962) with James Stewart and the Robert Culp western "The Raiders" (1963). He also appeared in the Bob Hope comedy "The Private Navy of Sgt. O'Farrell" (1968), the James Caan action movie "Journey to Shiloh" (1968) and the comedy "Head" (1968) with Micky Dolenz. He continued to work steadily in film throughout the sixties and the seventies, appearing in the Stella Stevens crime thriller "The Mad Room" (1969), "That Cold Day in the Park" (1969) and "Santee" (1973). He also appeared in "Thumb Tripping" (1973). In the nineties and the early 2000s, Burns lent his talents to projects like "Mariah Carey: Daydream From New York to Tokyo" (Fox, 1995-96), "The Siskel & Ebert Interviews" (CBS, 1995-96) and "Painted Angels" (1998) starring Brenda Fricker. His credits also expanded to "Scariest Places on Earth" (Fox Family Channel, 2000-06). Burns most recently produced "The Devil's Rejects" (2005) with Sid Haig.
