Mike Patton joins ex-Slayer star’s angry supergroup

Faith No More frontman Mike Patton has joined former Slayer star Dave Lombardo’s new heavy rock supergroup Dead Cross.
Patton replaces singer Gabe Serbian in the band, which also features Justin Pearson and Michael Crain.
Dead Cross parted ways with Serbian earlier this year (16).
Lombardo’s new band is currently in the studio working on a debut album.
He recently told Madcap Music Review the 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris, France inspired him to create an aggressive new act.
“Ever since the tragedy in Paris… I’m f**king p**sed,” he said. “Everything hit really close to home. I could have been on that stage (at the Bataclan venue in Paris). I could have been at a festival and some f**king son of a b**ch comes in with a shotgun or whatever and starts (blowing) people’s heads off.
“So I’m just… I’m angry. I’m over it, but, you know, (we’re able to) get all the feelings out, get all the s**t that we wanna say out in this music. It’s not gonna come out playing alternative music, it’s not gonna come out playing soft. And my name and my drumming is synonymous with thrash and hardcore music, so I’m really excited about this.”
The Eagles of Death Metal were performing at the Bataclan theatre in the French capital when terrorists stormed the building and opened fire on fans, venue staff and crew members.
