Mila Kunis is a whole lot of adorable wrapped up into one, five foot, four inch human. The actress and mother of one-year-old Wyatt is just as gorgeous fresh-faced as she is all glammed-out on the red carpet. Proof? Kunis recently posed for Glamour without makeup.
Kunis graced the back cover wearing only some lip balm, eye cream and serum, proving she’s way braver than we’d ever be. It may just be the back cover, but it’s a cover nonetheless and a huge step forward when it comes to celebrating real, feminine beauty. Even on the front cover, the starlet wore minimal makeup.
Kunis prefers minimal makeup and this cover shows a side of her that’s often missed in the media. “I don’t wear makeup,” she said. “I don’t wash my hair every day. It’s not something that I associate with myself. I commend women who wake up 30, 40 minutes early to put on eyeliner. I think it’s beautiful. I’m just not that person.”
The actress is pretty known for keeping it real, so it’s not a shock that she’d stand up to Hollywood’s ridiculous beauty standards. The mom even spoke out against Photoshop.
“I hate it,” she said. “There was a company that I did a photo shoot for once that manipulated the photo so much, I was like, ‘That’s not even me.’ Like, what’s the point? You wanted my name, and then you wanted the version of me that I’m not. I absolutely hate it.”
In addition to her gorgeous cover, Kunis also let us know what she thinks about a few newsworthy topics (like Tinder, Donald Trump and the dreaded period underwear).
“I think this is a great new way of hooking up. Good for you, people! Good on you. You meet some ladies or some gentlemen, you call it a day, you know exactly what you’re getting in for. Tinder is great. Enjoy!”
On period panties…
“At least there’s innovation in this. Like, I am proud of us women just changing the way things are done. And I’m okay with that. It’s interesting. It’s definitely different. I mean have you seen these underwears? I’m obsessed. I haven’t tried it, but I’m obsessed.”
On Donald Trump…
“Building the wall — the big wall? Uhm, highly unimpressed. Highly, highly unimpressed.”
