Stranger Things’ breakout star Millie Bobby Brown is a household name thanks to her portrayal of Eleven, but that doesn’t mean she wouldn’t like to try out something different in the future. The actress has already proved she can tackle the sci-fi realm, so she’s setting her sights on a galaxy far, far away.
At Rhode Island Comic-Con, Millie revealed that she’d love to play Princess Leia if she ever got a chance.
“If they made — I think they are making another Star Wars, I would love a role like that. Because I want to do something far from Eleven or Madison,” she said.
To be honest, we could totally see it. She looks a bit like a young Padme Amidala, and in real life, Natalie Portman looks like she could totally be Millie Bobby Brown’s mom. Millie’s also totally proved her worth in the sci-fi genre after starring in Stranger Things and BBC’s Intruders.
So will there be a place for a young Princess Leia in a future Star Wars film? There’s bound to be, at some point. It’s unlikely a younger Leia will be seen in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story or in the upcoming Han Solo movie unless it’s in a flash back. However, if Han Solo’s film is a hit, who’s to say they wont make a flick for one of the most bad ass women in sci-fi history?
Let’s not forget — Princess Leia has a pretty interesting story. She led a double life as a political leader from Alderaan and a member of the Rebel Alliance. There’s a lot of backstory that could use some explaining, and Millie would be perfect for the part.
