Prior to becoming a professional screenwriter, Glazer wrote for the legendary music publication Rolling Stone.
"I was born and raised in Miami Beach in this period and most writers like to write what I know and this is the place that I know best. It was already, to my growing up, seven-year-old eye, a sexy, glamorous time and then I found out there were deeper things happening and as a writer it became kind of an obvious thing for me to write about." - from The Hollywood Reporter, March 30, 2012
Glazer attended the same Miami high school as his longtime friend Mickey Rourke.
Glazer was introduced to Bill Murray by John Belushi during Murray's second week as a cast member on "Saturday Night Live"; Glazer and Murray have been friends ever since.
