Lee – the man behind Spider-Man, Hulk and the X-Men – is currently facing legal action from the shareholders of a company bearing his name, over film and book profits. The shareholders of Stan Lee Media Inc. (SLMI) filed suit at the end of last month (Jan10) claiming Lee signed all his interests in the Marvel brand and its characters over to them.
And Lee now has more legal problems to contend with after attorneys from law firm Lavely & Singer filed suit against the star, alleging he’s failed to pay them for work since 2007.
The papers, obtained by TMZ.com, read, “Similar to the flawed comic book super-heroes he created, Stan Lee has demonstrated his own flaws by his failure to honor his agreements.”
The suit is seeking an unspecified amount.
