Biography

Nancy Wilson was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Wilson's early roles were in action films like "The Big Score" (1983) with Fred "The Hammer" Williamson and John Saxon. She appeared in a number of television specials, including "The Perry Como Springtime Show" (NBC, 1966-67) and "The Bill Cosby Special, Or?" (NBC, 1970-71). Wilson also contributed music to the crime picture "The Killers" (1964) with Lee Marvin. She also appeared in the TV special "Jacksonville Jazz X" (PBS, 1989-1990). Following that project, Wilson worked on mostly television programs, including "ABC in Concert" (ABC, 1990-98) and "The Sinbad Show" (Fox, 1993-94). More recently, she earned a role in "The Meteor Man" (1993). Wilson had a number of different projects under her belt in the nineties, including "The Fifth Annual Trumpet Awards" (TBS, 1996-97), "Nissan Presents: The 2nd Annual Celebration of America's Music" (ABC, 1997-98) and "Quincy Jones -- The First 50 Years" (ABC, 1997-98). Her credits also expanded to "Forever Ella" and "Walk a Mile in My Shoes: The 90-Year Journey of the NAACP" (NBC, 1999-2000). Most recently, Wilson appeared in "The Naked Brothers Band" (Nickelodeon, 2006-07).
