Biography

Nat Carr worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Carr's career in acting began with his roles in various films like "His People" (1925), "The Cohens and Kellys" (1926) and the Al Jolson dramatic adaptation "The Jazz Singer" (1927). He also appeared in "Rainbow Over Broadway" (1933). He continued to act in productions like "Big Time or Bust" (1934), the drama "Next Time We Love" (1936) with Margaret Sullavan and "Portia on Trial" (1937). He also appeared in "Comet Over Broadway" (1938) with Kay Francis. During the latter half of his career, he continued to act in "Torchy Gets Her Man" (1938), the Margaret Lindsay adaptation "On Trial" (1939) and "Granny Get Your Gun" (1940). Carr last acted in "King of the Lumberjacks" (1940).
