Biography

Ned Young worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Young's earliest roles were in film, including "The Devil's Playground" (1946), "Retreat, Hell!" (1952) and the western "Springfield Rifle" (1952) with Gary Cooper. He continued to act in productions like "The Iron Mistress" (1952) with Alan Ladd, the drama "She's Back on Broadway" (1953) with Virginia Mayo and the Sterling Hayden crime drama "Crime Wave" (1954). Toward the end of his career, he tackled roles in the Randolph Scott adaptation "Riding Shotgun" (1954) and "Terror in a Texas Town" (1958). Young last acted in the thrilling adaptation "Seconds" (1966) with Rock Hudson.
