Neil Finn excited to join Fleetwood Mac

Crowded House star Neil Finn has confirmed reports he’ll be taking Lindsey Buckingham’s place in Fleetwood Mac.
The band announced the guitarist had departed the group in a short statement released on Monday (09Apr18), as reports suggested Finn and Tom Petty’s longtime sidekick Mike Campbell would step in for him on Fleetwood Mac’s upcoming world tour.
“Two weeks ago I received a wonderful invitation to be a part of a truly great band,” Finn has now said in a statement. “A few days later I was standing in a room playing music with Fleetwood Mac.
“It felt fresh and exciting, so many great songs, a spectacular rhythm section and two of the greatest voices ever. Best of all, we sounded good together. It was a natural fit. I can’t wait to play.”
Buckingham has yet to comment on his latest split from the band and Campbell hasn’t confirmed reports he’s joining the group.
