Nelly Furtado was not only a singer of her own music, but she earned a reputation as a songwriter, too. Furtado worked on a variety of projects during her early entertainment career, including "Brokedown Palace" (1999), the Angelina Jolie and Jon Voight hit "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" (2001), "Reverb" (HBO, 1996-2002), "Roswell" (WB, 1999-2002), the Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway smash hit "The Princess Diaries" (2001) and "VH1 Divas Live: The One and Only Aretha Franklin -- A Benefit Concert For VH1 Save the Music Foundat" (VH1, 2000-01). In the early 2000s, Furtado devoted her time to various credits, such as "The Way She Moves" (VH1, 2001-02), "Dancing With the Stars" (ABC, 2004-), "So You Think You Can Dance" (Fox, 2004-2015) and "John Tucker Must Die" with Jesse Metcalfe (2006). Furtado had a number of different projects under her belt in the early 2000s and the 2010s, including "Epic Movie" (2007) starring Kal Penn, "Max Payne" (2008), the Bill Nighy and Will Arnett blockbuster "G-Force" (2009), "Wild Child" with Emma Roberts (2009) and "Gnomeo & Juliet" (2011) starring James McAvoy.
