Movie star Nick Nolte has had his criminal record expunged after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lawrence Mira gave him a glowing report at his final progress hearing yesterday morning.
Nolte has been called in to court for a number of progress report hearings after checking out of rehab following his 2002 arrest for driving under the influence of drugs.
Nolte, dressed all in black and wearing a black hat, told reporters outside the courthouse he was grateful for the court’s time over the past three years and he’s keen to move on after his scandal.
He said, “Last year was a very good year, I learned a lot. It was a growing year.”
Nolte admitted he now hopes to help other celebrities who find themselves in similar situations.
