Nicole Gale Anderson, also sometimes just called Nicole Anderson, was an American actress. She was born on Aug. 29, 1990 in Rochester, Indiana, the daughter of a Filipino mother and a father who served as a Commander in the United States Navy, is from the United States. As a young girl, she did gymnastics and won two state championships and one all-around championship, but her athletic career was curtailed due to injuries. After she graduated from the Barbizon School in Georgia, she began acting after doing some print modeling, with her first role being on "Unfabulous" (Nickelodeon 2004-07) in 2005; she played a cheerleader, not a surprise given her sports background. She also appeared on the popular tween shows "Zoey 101" (Nickelodeon 2005-08), "Hannah Montana" (Disney 2006-11) and "iCarly" (Nickelodeon 2007-12). Her big break was when she was on "Jonas" (Disney 2009-10), on which she co-starred with the Jonas Brothers. After a TV movie of "Mean Girls 2" (ABC Family 2011), and stints on "Make It or Break It" (ABC Family, 2009-12) and "Beauty and the Beast" (The CW 2012-) she appeared on the hit show "Pretty Little Liars" (ABC Family 2010- ), playing Miranda Collins. This character was popular enough that she was spun off into her own series, the fantastical "Ravenswood" (ABC Family, 2013-14).
