Norma Moore worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Moore began her acting career in film, appearing in such titles as "Fear Strikes Out" (1957) with Anthony Perkins and "Poor White Trash: Part 2" (1976). She had an early role on the television special "The Steeler and the Pittsburgh Kid" (1981-82). She worked in series television while getting her start in acting, including a part on "Texas John Slaughter" (1958-1961). She also landed a role in the miniseries "The Jesse Owens Story" (1983-84). She also starred in the TV movies "Time Bomb" (1983-84), "Peyton Place: The Next Generation" (1984-85) and "Right to Kill?" (1984-85). She also appeared in "Surviving" (1984-85). Moore took on film roles in more recent years, appearing in the Tom Cruise dramatic biopic "Born on the Fourth of July" (1989) and the comedy "Problem Child" (1990) with John Ritter.
