Musicians John Frusciante and Eva Gardner are among the stars who have lined up to punch rocker Omar Rodriguez-Lopez in the face for his quirky new music video.
The promo for the At the Drive-In star’s new solo single, Running Away, features a string of cameos from famous pals, including former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Frusciante, Omar’s former Mars Volta bandmate Gardner, the Melvins co-founder Buzz Osborne, and singer Teri Gender Bender, a member of Lopez’s group Bosnian Rainbows.
In the video, directed by Violeta Felix, Omar walks up to each person carrying a bunch of flowers, only to be smacked in the jaw time after time.
Running Away features on Omar’s new album, Corazones, which was released on Friday (29Jul16).
