Biography

Pat McNamara was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. McNamara's earliest roles were in film, including the dramatic comedy "The Front" (1976) with Woody Allen, "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" (1977) with Richard Dreyfuss and the Tim McIntire musical "American Hot Wax" (1978). He also appeared in the Kirk Douglas thriller "The Fury" (1978), "The Last Word" (1979) and "1941" (1979). He continued to act in productions like "Crimes of Passion" (1984), "A Chorus Line" (1985) and the Eric Stoltz dramedy "Some Kind of Wonderful" (1987). In his more recent career, he tackled roles in the adventure sequel "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey" (1991) with Keanu Reeves, the Nick Turturro comedy "The Search For One-Eye Jimmy" (1996) and the crime drama "Sleepers" (1996) with Kevin Bacon. He also appeared in the comedy "Layin' Low" (1997) with Jeremy Piven and "The Daytrippers" (1997) with Hope Davis. Most recently, McNamara acted in the comedic drama "The Guru" (2003) with Heather Graham.
