TMZ is reporting that popular comedian Patrice O’Neal died on Monday night after suffering complications from a stroke he had in October. O’Neal’s friend Opie from the Opie and Anthony radio show recently confirmed the news on Twitter, writing, “Yes it’s true that our pal Patrice O’Neal has passed away. The funniest and best thinker I’ve ever known PERIOD.” Tragically, O’Neal was only 41 years old.
Most of us know O’Neal from his memorable stand-up routines, where he quickly became a staple in the wonderful world of comedy. His last national TV performance was at the Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen, where his health was humorously criticized by the other roasters. O’Neal also made hilarious appearances on several TV shows such as Chappelle Show, The Office, and Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn.
