Biography

In addition to a professional career in football, Paul West also made a presence in the entertainment business. He was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for "Father Knows Best" in 1954. Following this honor, West penned the scripts for "My Three Sons" (1960-1972) and "The Waltons" (1972-1981). He also went on to land acting roles in the drama "Dream Lover" (1986) with Kristy McNichol. West continued to exercise his talent in the nineties, taking on a mix of projects like "The Wish That Changed Christmas" (CBS, 1991-92), "Ferngully: the Last Rainforest" with Samantha Mathis (1992), "All Dogs Go to Heaven 2" (1996) and "Space Jam" (1996) starring Michael Jordan. West most recently acted in the Alexis Bledel romantic comedy "I'm Reed Fish" (2007).
