Biography

Peter Renaday, a prolific voice actor, was born Pierre L. Renoudet in Louisiana. Renaday began his career as an actor in the 1965,when he appeared in TV's "Combat!". He went on to garner small roles in a string of Disney films: "Lt. Robin Crusoe, U.S.N.", "The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band", "The Love Bug", and "The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes". This led to some voice work in Disney's animated feature "The AristoCats" in 1970. Through the '70s and early '80s, Renaday appeared in a number of Disney projects, among them: "The Barefoot Executive", "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color", "The Shaggy D.A.", "The Cat from Outer Space", and "The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again". However, his parts were often small, and by the mid '80s, Renaday had moved into voice work, lending his voice to cartoons and even Disney attractions, including Rocket to the Moon, Mission to Mars, and Country Bear Jamboree. Renaday's best known for providing the voice of sensei Splinter on "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", but has lent his voice to more than 80 projects including "TaleSpin", "The Transformers", "Gargoyles", "Justice League", "Samurai Jack", "Animaniacs" and "The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy". Notably, Reneday played Abraham Lincoln in the last two series listed, though the shows are unrelated.
